Kalmia Strong

Kalmia Strong is an arts organizer, artist, bookmaker, and educator, and has worked collaboratively for almost a decade to instigate and sustain experimental, community-driven, and cooperative art practices and resources at Iowa City’s Public Space One. She is dedicated to understanding and supporting self-organized community spaces, extra-institutional knowledge-sharing, and publication practices as modes of cultural resistance and social change.
